LBL Bridge to Bridge Trail Run

The event is a 13.6 mile trail race that travels from the Canton side of the Lake Barkley Bridge, through the Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area, and finishes just west of Kentucky Lake along Highway 80. The route follows a paved path along Highway 80, joins the Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail, and stays on that trail until Fenton. The woodland section has packed gravel and shows moderate elevation changes.

The course surface and segments for solo runners are described as: paved for the first 3.6 miles, packed gravel woodland for 8.2 miles, then paved for the final 1.8 miles. Water stations are placed at roughly two mile intervals at Devil's Elbow, Sunset, Meredith, Visitor's Center, English Hill, and Fenton.

Relay options use the same overall course. Exchange and segment details:

  • 13.6 miles solo course with mixed surfaces
  • Two person relay with an exchange near Golden Pond Visitor Center, first leg longer, second leg about 6.2 miles
  • Three person relay segments: 3.6 paved, 3.8 woodland, and about 6.2 miles to the finish

Packet pickup is available the day before at Growing Wild in Murray and the morning of the race at Kenlake State Resort Park near the tennis courts. Bus transportation is provided from Kenlake to the start and from exchange zones back to the finish. Dogs may run on leash; pets do not require registration and are not eligible for awards.
