Laurel Ridge Community College 5K
Laurel Ridge Community College holds an annual 5K run/walk on campus on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026. Funds raised support a scholarship that assists students who are in recovery; the scholarship honors a former graduate and employee.
The course is multi-surface and runs on the Laurel Ridge campus, with the Student Union Building serving as the listed start and finish location at 173 Skirmisher Lane, Middletown, VA 22645. Online registration is required; no in-person race day registration will be available. Entry fees are listed as $30 for early registration (by Sept. 7) and $35 for late registration, with a $2 discount for Shenandoah Valley Runners members. Pets, strollers, and headphones are not allowed.
Awards are given to the top three males and females in each age group. Age divisions include 10 and under, 11 to 19, then 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus. Amenities cited for the event include post-race refreshments and restrooms in the Student Union Building. Free parking is provided on campus with directional signage.
