Lapham Peak Wednesday Night Ski League
The series is held at Lapham Peak in Delafield, Wisconsin, starting on the East-West corridor in front of the Lapham Lodge. Each race follows one lap of the lighted ski trail, about 5 km (4.9K). The league runs across seven nights; points are awarded to participants each night, with only six of the seven nights counting toward season standings.
There are three race categories: Freestyle, Classic, and Combo (three freestyle and three classic events). Age-class divisions are defined separately for freestyle, classic, and combo fields. Series skiers keep their bibs for the full seven week series; other participants are asked to return bibs each night.
A minimum of three appearances in a class is required to qualify for end of season awards. Awards and a banquet are held at Lapham Lodge. All proceeds support the snowmaking project. Fee options include a single-night rate of $10 or $5 for students payable by cash or check to Friends of Lapham Peak, or a $60 fee covering the entire seven-night series. Registration opens 11/6/2026 and closes 1/27/2027. A 2027 ski trail pass and a Wisconsin DNR vehicle sticker are required for participation.
