Lakeland Paws: Whinlatter Tails
This event takes place at Whinlatter and uses the south side forest area. The course combines forest roads and trails and is described as less technical than the Seat How route. Organisers may alter the exact course because of forest works, but the event will remain at Whinlatter.
There are two course options:
- 10k with about 380 to 400 m of ascent.
- 5k with 200 m of ascent.
The event uses individual starts so each competitor and their dog have space at the start. The race is chip timed and the route will be marked. GPX files are available for download. Two dogs are allowed per runner, and runners may also compete without dogs. The minimum age to enter is 16 years or older.
Entries open and close on specified dates and there is an entry fee. The event is organised by Green Space Events Ltd and forms part of the Lakeland Paws series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
