Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Double Header
This is the final event of Lakeland Paws Season 5 and the second race in a double header weekend, with the season prize giving held at the end of the event. The course follows the original route to the summit of Seat How and includes narrower, steeper sections on that line.
Two marked route options are offered:
- 8K loop with 360m ascent, reaches the summit of Seat How and returns via forest roads and trails.
- 5K route joining the second half of the longer course, avoiding the summit and reducing ascent to 240m.
The event is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available for download. On the summit route only one dog per runner is permitted and dogs must run on a suitable harness; harnesses are available to borrow from Non Stop Dog Wear. Runners may also compete without dogs. There are no cut-offs and walking sections is permitted.
Participants must meet the minimum age requirement of 16 or older. The published entry fee is £20. The event takes place on 25 April 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
