Dogs @ Dodd
Dogs @ Dodd takes place at Dodd Wood near Keswick, Sat Nav postcode CA124QE. Dates listed include Sun 4th Oct 26 and Sat 24th April 27. This season there are three events planned at Dodd Wood. The wood lies on the opposite side of Bassenthwaite Lake to Whinlatter and remains close to Keswick.
Two route choices are available for canicross. The terrain is hilly rather than flat and uses a mix of single trails and forest roads. The courses offer views across Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake. Runners may choose to run with two dogs at Dodd as the paths used are generally wider and slightly less technical than some nearby routes.
Distances
- 8 km: graded RED, about 370 m ascent
- 5 km: graded Blue, about 210 m ascent
