Lakeland Paws Dogs at Dodd Double Header
This event is the first day of the finale weekend of the fifth Lakeland Paws series and takes place at Dodd Wood. The course is fully marked and runs on a mix of forest roads and trails, with views across Bassenthwaite lake to the Northern Fells. Individual starts are used so each athlete and dog has space to start safely.
Most of the route follows wide trails, so the organisers allow two dogs per runner on much of the course; some narrower sections and a relatively steep final descent require runners to go at their own pace. Dogs must be run in a suitable harness. Harnesses are available to borrow from Non Stop Dog Wear. Runners may take part without dogs.
The event is chip timed and GPX files are available for download.
