Lake to Ocean 100K
The Lake to Ocean 100K is scheduled for June 5, 2027 in Port Mayaka, Florida, and is organized by Mule Racing. The event is a 100 kilometer point to point trail race that finishes at Hobe Sound beach.
The course runs from the NENA trailhead in Port Mayaka to Hobe Sound on mostly single track remote trail. The route passes through changing ecosystems including ancient sand dunes with scrub oak and sand pine, pine flatwoods, palmetto and palm and oak hammocks, cypress domes, and wet prairies.
Wildlife that may be encountered along the trail includes deer, alligators, otters, owls, snakes, bobcats, coyotes, and various Florida wading birds.
The race uses a strict 18 hour time limit. Competitors must have a crew; for athletes flying in without a crew, the organizer will recruit a crew. Crew access points are located at miles 15, 22, 31, 37, and 48. Finishers receive a commemorative buoy at the end of the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
