Lake to Ocean 100K
The Lake to Ocean 100K is a point-to-point trail race held on June 5, 2027, organized by Mule Racing. The course begins at the NENA trailhead in Port Mayaka, FL, and finishes at Hobe Sound beach, covering 100K on mostly single-track remote trail.
The route passes through varied ecosystems, including ancient sand dunes with scrub oak and sand pine, pine flatwoods, palmetto and palm and oak hammocks, cypress domes, and wet prairies. Outside included the trail in a 2023 top-10 list for trails.
Local wildlife reported along the route includes deer, alligators, otters, owls, snakes, bobcats, coyotes, and various Florida wading birds.
Race logistics note a strict 18 hour time limit. A crew is mandatory; crew stops are located at miles 15, 22, 31, 37, and 48. Organizers will recruit a crew for entrants who are flying in and do not have one. Registration for the event closes on June 1 at 11:59 PM ET.
