About the race
Lake Gwelup 5km Cross Country is Race 3 of the Winter Cup Series, organised by the West Australian Marathon Club in partnership with UWA Athletics Club. The event is scheduled for 27 September 2026 at Lake Gwelup and features a single distance of 5 km run on grass surfaces of varying lengths. Spikes are welcome.
The series is intended to provide an inclusive competition across clubs and the wider running community. A Winter Cup Series cash prize will be awarded to the top three teams in each category. WAMC members have free entry; non-members pay an entry fee of AUD 20, with the same fee applying to under 18 non-members. Member under 18 entries are free.
Online registrations open in early September and close on 24 September 2026 at 11:50 PM unless the event is sold out earlier. A late registration penalty applies from the Saturday before the event for non-members. The race is organised by UWA Athletics Club with administration support from the West Australian Marathon Club.
