SPASM Lake Chabot Trail Run : Castro Valley, CA
The event takes place on April 24, 2027 at Lake Chabot Regional Park - Marina, 17600 Lake Chabot Road, Castro Valley, CA 94546, USA. The course starts at the marina and travels around the Lake Chabot reservoir and surrounding hills. Distances were measured using a Rolatape surveyor's measuring wheel.
The program includes multiple trail race distances and a short kids dash. Most trail events share the same registration window that opens April 22, 2026 and closes April 18, 2027; two short events have registration closing on April 24, 2027. Entry fees vary by distance and some short events are offered without a fee.
Distances offered:
- 8K - 5 Miles, fee $60.00
- Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles, fee $70.00
- 30K - 17.9 Miles, fee $75.00
- Marathon - 26.2 Miles, fee $80.00
- 50K - 31 Miles, fee $90.00
- Kid's Run - 50 Yards, children aged 6 years and younger, free
- Coastal Testing - 2 Miles, free
