Kitchener Kids with Cancer 2026
Kitchener Kids with Cancer is a fundraising event for the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario held at Kiwanis Park, 1000 Kiwanis Park Drive, Kitchener. The event marks its 13th year and combines timed races with family-oriented activities within the park.
Distances offered:
- 5 KM run or walk
- 10 KM run
- 200 m kids run for age 7 and under
The course runs mostly on dirt trails inside Kiwanis Park. The 5 KM route is one loop with an out-and-back section; the 10 KM consists of two loops of the 5 KM route. Each kilometre is marked and courses are certified. Water stations: one on the 5 KM course and three on the 10 KM course. Participants are asked to stay to the right on trail sections.
All finishers receive a medal. The first 700 registrants receive a technical event t-shirt; no t-shirts are available for race day entries. Parking is available on the park grounds. Animals are allowed in the park but are not permitted on the run or walk. A time limit is enforced at 10 minutes per kilometre; participants who do not meet time checkpoints may be required to continue without race support.
Post-race offerings include refreshments, musical entertainment and food trucks (food truck purchases are additional). Registration policy states entries are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
