Altra Kielder Marathon Weekend (early October 2026)
The event is a two-day weekend of off-road races around Kielder Water in Kielder Forest Park, Northumberland. The course for the marathon follows an almost entirely off-road route around northern Europe’s largest man-made lake. The weekend is scheduled for the weekend of 3 to 4 October 2026.
Distances and categories:
- Marathon, £45, 18 years and above
- Half Marathon, £39, 17 years and above
- 10K, £27.50, 15 years and above
- Gravel Duathlon, £60 individual, £83 team (team must have 3 members), age restrictions apply
- Junior races U11 and U15, £8 per entry
Event services and notes: All finishers receive a medal and goody bag. A free park and ride system operates for runners; spectator passes are available for a small fee and include shuttle buses to vantage points on the route. There is a secure baggage drop and on-site refreshments featuring local produce. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to first V40, V50 and V60 categories.
Additional entry conditions for the gravel duathlon require British Triathlon membership or a single-use race pass. A £2 discount is applied at checkout for UKA club members where applicable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
