Altra Kielder Marathon Weekend
The Altra Kielder Marathon Weekend is a multi-race event held in Kielder Forest Park, Northumberland. The marathon route follows an almost entirely off-road course around Kielder Water, described in the event material as northern Europe’s largest man-made lake. Entries are open for the 2026 weekend.
The marathon is the finale of a two-day programme that includes shorter and alternative races. Distances on offer include:

- Half Marathon
- 10K
- Gravel Duathlon
- Junior races (U11 and U15)
Event services and race-day provisions listed by the organiser include a medal and goody bag for all finishers, a free Park & Ride system for runners, and a secure baggage drop. Spectator passes are available for £3 for the day and include shuttle buses to multiple vantage points on the route. Local produce and refreshments are provided on site. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to the first finishers in the V40, V50 and V60 categories.
