Kevin Hutt 10K, Bloomfield CT
The Kevin Hutt 10K is a trail race held on November 1, 2026 in Bloomfield, Connecticut, organized by the CT Trailmixers. The event honors Kevin Hutt, one of the founders of the Traprock Trail Race, who passed away in 2025.
The course is a rolling loop on the Metacomet Trail with additional sections on the Orange and Yellow trails in Penwood State Park. Most of the route is technical single track with rocky but runnable terrain.
Race operations note a 3-hour cutoff. There are no aid stations on course, so runners must carry enough hydration for 6.2 miles. Snacks will be available at the finish. Proceeds from the event will go in part to NAMI, the National Association of Mental Illness.
Registration details include a stated registration deadline of October 25, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET and an entry fee listed at USD 28.50. Once the race reaches capacity a waitlist opens; waitlisted runners are selected in the order they registered and have two days to accept an invitation if chosen. Cancellation before September 20 receives a 50% refund; there are no refunds after that date, and no bib transfers or deferrals.
