Kaercher Creek 5k Run/Walk and Family Festival
The event on August 15, 2026 takes place at The Bridge Church, 3561 Old 22, Hamburg, PA 19526. It includes a trail 5k run or walk and a kids half mile fun run for participants 12 and under. The course runs around Kaercher Creek, is completely off road, and features varied trail terrain; it is not stroller friendly. Timing is provided by Pretzel City Sports.
The festival component includes games, face painting, free Rita's Italian Ice, and interactive tables from sponsors. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers and to the top three males and females in these age divisions: 13 and under, 14 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus. An award ceremony follows the race.
Participants who pre-register by August 1 receive a short sleeve cotton race shirt; shirts are available while supplies last after that date. Entry fees listed are $30 by August 1 and $35 thereafter and on race day. The kids fun run entry fee is $15; preregistered kids may receive shirts.
The event benefits Three Strands Community Center, a nonprofit community center and gym in Hamburg that promotes faith, family and fitness and offers membership by donation.
