Irchester Spooktacular
Irchester Spooktacular is a Halloween-themed night-time run held at Irchester Country Park. The event offers two marked and marshaled routes on woodland trails and hard-packed tracks. Fancy dress is encouraged and volunteers will marshal the course in costume.
The event includes:
- 5k race - minimum age 11 years
- 2k Family Fun Run - minimum age 4 years; children under 11 must be accompanied
Entry prices are listed for each distance and include a finishers medal, a bag of Halloween-themed chocolates, and free event photos. Entries and transfers close seven days before the event. Parking is available at Irchester Country Park with applicable parking fees.
Organisers provide professional first aid at the start and finish and course volunteers. The surface is mostly hard packed track, suitable for road or trail shoes. Because the event takes place after dark, participants are asked to bring a head torch or small handheld torch. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5k. The event also gives entrants the opportunity to donate to local foodbanks supported by the organisers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
