The Inflatable 5K in Manchester is an obstacle course event that uses large inflatable obstacles on a looped course. The course lap is 2.5 km and distances available are 2.5k, 5k, 10k and 15k, with each distance repeating the same lap.
Each distance includes a set number of obstacles:
- 2.5k, 15 obstacles, one lap.
- 5k, 30 obstacles, two laps.
- 10k, 60 obstacles, four laps.
- 15k, 90 obstacles, six laps.
The event provides a clearly marked route, five music zones, event photography, medical cover, a midway hydration station and a free spectators area. Every participant receives a finisher's medal, a goodie bag and a post-run drink. The event is untimed.
Entry categories are adult (16+) and child (5 to 15 years). Children must be accompanied by a paying participating adult at a maximum ratio of three children to one adult. Family and group discounts are available, and charities can access exclusive discounted tickets. Volunteers receive a free run entry and an official t-shirt.
Practical details include paid parking (£5 per car), a paid bag drop (£3 per bag) with size limits and security searches, no dogs permitted, on-site food and drink vendors, and straightforward kit advice such as light running clothing and suitable footwear.
