Ilkley Moor Fell Race 2027
The Ilkley Moor Fell Race is an 8 kilometre fell race on Ilkley Moor, West Yorkshire. The course is a single lap with a hilly profile and is not suitable for wheelchairs. The event holds an FRA race licence and is run under FRA rules.
Runners must follow FRA requirements. The FRA minimum kit list is compulsory and includes waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and an integrated attached hood, plus a hat, gloves and a whistle. Use of any GPS watch or device for navigation is forbidden and there will be random checks on the day.
There is a one hour cut off at the Rocky Valley marshal point at about the halfway point of the course; runners who are outside of that time will be instructed to retire. If a runner decides to abandon after collecting their race number they must notify the race organiser as soon as possible.
Entry is limited to 400 places; the published entry fees are £8 for affiliated runners and £10 for unaffiliated runners. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day is available for an additional £2. Race headquarters is at Wells Road, Ilkley LS29 9RF with approach via Ilkley rather than over Keighley Gate Road by car. Facilities include toilets; there is no water, no distance markers, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage. Runners must be 16 or over on race day; entrants under 18 who entered online must present a completed FRA parental consent form at registration.
