Hyner Half
The Hyner Half is a trail running event on August 22, 2026 in North Bend, PA, organized by PA Trail Dogs at Hyner Run State Park in Sproul State Forest. The event offers timed trail courses with a strict six hour cut-off and is open to runners and speed hikers only; the course was not designed for walkers.

The 14 mile course moves through diverse terrain on trails in Sproul State Forest. Timing and aid station placement reflect the six hour limit. There are three aid stations located at mile 4, mile 8, and mile 11.5.
The 7K follows the first 2.5 miles of the main course, then returns to the park and finishes with about 2 miles of downhill. This shorter route includes over 1000 feet of elevation gain and roughly 1000 feet of loss within about 4.5 miles.
Registration for the event is sold out. The event policy states there are no refunds, deferments, bib transfers, or bandits. Hyner Run State Park has a swimming pool that runners may use during the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
