Huron 100

The Huron 100 is a point to point trail endurance event through the Huron River Watershed in Southeast Michigan. It offers two race distances that use multiple regional parks and primarily trail surfaces.

The race options:

  • 100 miles : 82% trail, 8200 ft cumulative gain, max elevation 1100 ft, 32 hour cutoff, uses 9 regional parks.
  • 50 miles : 93% trail, 4400 ft cumulative gain, max elevation 1100 ft, 15 hour cutoff, uses 4 regional parks.

Both distances traverse varied terrain, including the sandy hills of the Waterloo-Pinckney Trail, pine stands at Huron Meadows, and the bridges found at Proud Lake. The course is a true point to point layout so the finish is not at the start location.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 12th, 2027, and lists Waterloo State Recreation Area / Portage Lake as a start location. The race organization is a registered 501(c)(3) and directs proceeds to support the Huron River Watershed. Historical notes describe the course as developed over multiple years and staged as an annual community-centered trail event across the region. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
