Hout Bay Twin Peaks
Hout Bay Twin Peaks is a trail running event held at Dunes Restaurant in Hout Bay on 3 October 2026 and hosted by Dunes Restaurant & Bar. The event offers multiple marked routes that pass local peaks and include watertables and refuel stations.
- 42 km Summit Slam: Noordhoek Peak, Judas Peak and Karbonkelberg. Elevation 2400 m. 4 refuel stations.
- 30 km Peak Predator: Noordhoek Peak and Karbonkelberg. Elevation 1600 m. 3 refuel stations.
- 16 km Noordhoek Summit: Noordhoek Peak. Start and finish at Dunes. Elevation 900 m. 2 refuel stations.
Entries include a conservation fee, timing, photos, watertables, marked routes, a finishers beverage, medics, marshals and a race shirt. The race venue is Dunes Restaurant, Hout Bay.
Compulsory kit listed for participants includes a charged cell phone, a waterproof jacket, food for energy, minimum 1 litre hydration at the start, a space blanket, a headlamp, a whistle, a GPS device or the AllTrails app, and a reusable cup. The event operates with environmental measures; no water sachets and no paper cups are allowed so participants should bring their own cup.
