Hot Summer Singletrack Trail Race
The Hot Summer Singletrack takes place at Franke Park in Fort Wayne on 07/17/2027. The event brings together mountain bike riders, trail runners and wheelchair athletes on the park's technical dirt trails and nearby paved and gravel surfaces.
Races are offered in timed three-hour and six-hour formats on looped courses. Mountain bike events use a seven-mile loop; trail runs use a three-mile loop; wheelchair competitors follow a course of paved path and gravel road. Distances include:
- Six Hour MTB Ride : 60 Miles on a seven-mile loop
- Three Hour MTB Ride : 30 Miles on a seven-mile loop
- Six Hour Trail Run : 31 Miles on a three-mile loop
- Three Hour Trail Run : 18 Miles on a three-mile loop
- Six Hour Wheelchair : 26.2 Miles on paved and gravel surfaces
- Three Hour Wheelchair : 13.1 Miles on paved and gravel surfaces
A tent city is located near the hub at the base of Derby Hill. Picnic-style foods, water, hydration mixes, Coke and Sprite are provided to registered participants. Snacks and picnic-style food are included with the registration fee. Awards are given to the winner of each category. Registration fees are kept low with support from UAW Local 2209, and the race is free for people 18 and under. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
