Hood Hundred

Hood Hundred is a 100 miles mountain trail run staged at Mt. Hood Meadows in the Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon. The course follows much of Mt. Hood’s diverse terrain in a lollipop-loop format with crew access and about 17,300' of ascent and 17,300' of descent.

The event is capped at 250 participants. Registration has two components: a registration fee and a mandatory service requirement. Published race fees are $395 for the early period and $445 for the later period. A waitlist is activated when the field fills and closes on June 1. The registration fee covers a marked course, chip timing and results, aid stations, professional medical support, shuttles for drop bags and DNFs, portajohns, parking, a custom race hoodie, participant awards, post race food and beverages, and professional photography among other event services.

The service requirement must be completed between July 1, 2026 and June 1, 2027 and verified by June 1, 2027. Acceptable options include organizing a permitted ultramarathon, volunteering at a permitted ultramarathon, supervised trail work on trails used by an ultramarathon, or a minimum $100 donation to a trail stewardship nonprofit.

Practical details include free daytime parking at Mt. Hood Meadows, permitted car camping on paved parking with an overnight use fee, and vehicle restrictions at crewed aid stations allowing only single vehicles and no vehicles larger than a van. The closest major airport is Portland International Airport about 75 to 90 minutes away.

The 2027 race is a Western States qualifier. All finishers receive a custom metal belt buckle and podium finishers receive commemorative awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
