Hood Hundred
Hood Hundred is a 100 mile mountain trail race staged at Mt. Hood Meadows in the Mt. Hood National Forest, Oregon. The course is a lollipop-loop style route with crew access and features 17,300' of ascent and 17,300' of descent across diverse mountain terrain. The 2027 event runs July 3-4, 2027 and is a Western States qualifier; runners must complete the course in under 34 hours to qualify for the WSER lottery.
Registration opens November 30 and the race is capped at 250 participants; a waitlist will open once the field fills and will close on June 1. The published race fee tiers are $395 and $445 depending on registration date. A mandatory service requirement must be completed between July 1, 2026 and June 1, 2027; acceptable options include organizing or volunteering for an official ultramarathon, supervised trail work on trails used by ultramarathons, or a minimum $100 donation to a trail stewardship non-profit. Verification must be submitted by June 1, 2027.
The registration fee includes a marked course, a custom race hoodie, chip timing and results, aid stations, professional medical support, radio communications, shuttles for drop bags and DNFs, portajohns, post race food and beverages, professional photography, and custom participant awards. Mt. Hood Meadows allows car camping on the paved parking area during race weekend subject to an overnight use fee; lodge restrooms are available 24 hours.
