About the race
The Holy Trail Run festival is a trail running event in Suffolk offering three course options and a shared finish at Nicholas Everitt Park in Oulton Broad. The event is limited to 150 participants across all races and is organised by Boghopper Races Ltd. The courses are not UKA certified so distances are approximate.
Runners can choose from the following distances:
- 50 mile circular route with a 15 hour time limit.
- 50 km route with a 10 hour time limit.
- Trail Marathon with an 8 hour time limit.
Minimum ages follow UKA rules: 20 years for the ultras and 18 years for the marathon. Each race has separate cut offs and time limits. The entry fee includes a unique medal, food and drink at checkpoints, GPS tracking and timing, first aid services, a light meal and hot drinks at the finish, and prizes for first to third places in Female and Male/Open categories. There is an option to purchase a t-shirt when entering.
Transport notes state rail access near some start and finish points, with limited public transport to Walberswick. The event is licensed by the Association of Running Clubs and held under UK Athletics Rules, permit number ARC/27/0042.
