Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special

This event is the tenth running of a five mile chip timed cross country and Canicross race across the Upper Wreake valley countryside. The course uses fields, stiles, brooks and traditional footpaths, includes some hills, and offers views over Leicestershire and beyond.

Race headquarters are at Hoby and District village hall. Car parking is provided on the church field, Thrussington Road, Hoby, LE14 3EB. The event has a maximum of 200 entrants and a minimum age of 12 years. Entries close on 30 September 2026. Transfers remain open until the evening before race day and deferrals are permitted if the organisers are notified at least 24 hours before race day or, in emergencies, on shorter notice.

Prizes are awarded in standard categories for each race: First Male, First Female, First Vet Male, First Vet Female, First Junior Male, First Junior Female, and First Mixed Team. There are additional prizes for breaking course records. All finishers receive a 10th anniversary commemorative wooden medal.
