Hoby Hop Trail Race 10th anniversary special
The event marks the 10th anniversary of a five mile chip timed cross country and Canicross race across the Upper Wreake valley near Hoby. The course runs through fields, stiles, brooks and traditional footpaths and includes some hills and views over Leicestershire and beyond.
Race headquarters are at Hoby & District village hall. The event has a maximum of 200 entrants and a minimum age of 12 years. Online entries close on 30/09/2026. On-the-day entries may be available if places remain; the organisers confirm how many on-the-day places are available once online entries close three days before the event. Entry transfers remain open until the evening before the race and deferrals are permitted with prior notice to the organisers.
Prizes are awarded in multiple categories for both the Trail and Canicross races, and all finishers receive a 10th anniversary commemorative wooden medal. Course records are recorded for the Trail and Canicross races with listed best times and the years they were set.
