High Valley Half
The High Valley Half is a point to point 1/2 Marathon in eastern Oregon that runs from Cove to Union. The course begins at Dollar's Corner, turns onto High Valley Road after about a half mile, and finishes at the Eastern Oregon Stockshow grounds in Union.
Most of the route is on gravel and includes nearly 1,000 feet of elevation gain. Runners should expect climbs and downhill sections along High Valley Road. There are aid stations providing water and fuel located just after miles 4, 7, and 11. Restrooms at the start are limited; there are restrooms at the finish but none along the course.
Packet pick up will happen on race day. The race organizer is Run With Purpose Racing. This is a point to point course with no shuttle back to the starting line, so participants must arrange their own transportation. Any gear left at the start or along the course will be donated to local runners.
Race t shirts are included with registration through June 5, 2027. Race day registration will be available without a shirt or a guaranteed medal and the price increases by $5 for race day entry. Cash, check, and Venmo are accepted on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
