Heroes on the Hill

Heroes on the Hill is a patriotic endurance challenge held on September 19, 2026 at Buck Hill Ski Area in Burnsville, Minnesota. The event supports mental health awareness and suicide prevention, with all proceeds directed to mental health advocacy and related programs. The organizing group is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

The event uses a one mile loop course at Buck Hill that includes elevation gain. Participants complete as many laps of the loop as they choose throughout the day, and may walk, hike, or run. The format emphasizes repeated climbs of the same loop so each lap contributes to the overall effort.

An Honor Wall allows participants to submit the name of someone they are climbing for as a form of remembrance. Funds raised support services such as mental health counseling for veterans, suicide prevention resources, and wellness programs for first responders. Donations to the nonprofit are tax deductible.

Course details note a mapped one mile loop at Buck Hill Ski Area, 15400 Buck Hill Rd, Burnsville, MN 55306. The event presentation highlights community impact through fundraising and local partnerships while focusing on mental health advocacy within veteran and first responder communities.
