Helvellyn and the Dodds

Helvellyn and the Dodds is a fell race scheduled for 27 September 2026 in the Lake District, England. The event is based at Fornside Farm, St Johns in the Vale, Keswick CA12 4TS, grid reference NY321307. It is an AM category race with a minimum age of 18 and no junior races.

The course covers 18.5 km / 11.5 miles with 1450 m / 4757 ft of climb. Checkpoints are located at Calfhow Pike, Great Dodd, Raise, Helvellyn and the same points on the return. The record section lists this as a new course. Competitors should note the listed skills codes ER, PM, LK and NS. The race holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.

Entry is available both before the event and on the day. Pre entry fees are £15.00 for members and £17.00 for non members. Entry on the day fees are £18.00 for members and £20.00 for non members. Teams are allowed with the first three to count for male and female teams. Organisers request that no recces are made from the start venue because it is private land.
