HELLS DELLS Ultra Stroll
HELLS DELLS FATASS 50k is an unsanctioned, small-field trail event around Watson Lake near Prescott. The route is 30.6 mi with about 3300 ft of cumulative gain and loss. The course uses many interconnecting trails, exposed sections, granite terrain, and multiple lake shore segments that require careful navigation.
The organizer provides a GPS file of the route, markings at intersections with arrows and color-coded flags, two staffed aid stations (around mile 10 and mile 20) with water, sports drink and basic snacks, and one additional water drop at mile 25.5 that includes a vault toilet and a water fountain. Runners are expected to be largely self-sufficient; the organizer notes minimal support and recommends downloading the route to a watch or using a navigation app.
Cutoffs are set at 3 hours to the first aid station (about 10 miles), 6.5 hours to the second aid station (about mile 20), and 10.5 hours for the full course. Drop bags are allowed at both main stations. The event has a $20 registration fee with $15 returned at check-in to discourage no-shows. Finishers receive a popsicle and a HELLS DELLS poker chip; top finishers receive custom artwork.
The route has remained consistent since 2026. Because of previous flag tampering and the maze-like trail network, runners should have confidence using GPS and basic route-finding skills. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
