Haworth Hobble : 13 March 2027

The Haworth Hobble is an off road fell race around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. The published course distance is 51 km (31.7 miles) with published ascent of 1615 metres (about 5300 feet); some route analysis has previously suggested a lower figure around 1300 metres. The venue is Haworth Primary School, Rawdon Road, Haworth BD22 8DW.

The route runs largely on trails and open moorland with only short road sections. Competitors are expected to have navigation and fell running experience and to be able to look after themselves on remote moors in potentially wintry conditions. GPS devices are not allowed for navigation. The event enforces minimum equipment beyond the Full Fell Runners Association mandatory kit, including a foil blanket or bivvy bag, a minimum 0.5 litre water carrying capacity and an additional long sleeved thermal top not to be worn at the race start; additional kit may be advisable given the season. Minimum age on race day is 18.

Organisers publish a bad weather shorter route of about 21 miles which can be used in exceptional conditions. Maximum time allowed for the full course is approximately 11 hours; cutoff times apply at checkpoints. Pre-race recce runs are organised during December, January and February. There are six feed stations on the route offering basic food and drink items and several stations provide hot drinks and additional hot food options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
