46th Haworth Hobble
The Haworth Hobble is an annual fell race organised by Keighley and Craven Athletic Club, scheduled for 13 March 2027. The course traverses gritstone moors around Haworth, Todmorden and Hebden Bridge.
The main route covers approximately 52 km / 32.4 miles with about 1,700 m / 5,500 ft of ascent and descent. A shorter bad weather route of 21 miles is used in exceptional conditions. GPS is not permitted for navigation and competitors must have the navigation and remote-moor skills indicated by the event codes ER, LK, NS. The minimum entry age is 18 and the maximum time allowed for the full course is approximately 11 hours, with specific checkpoint cut offs.
Mandatory equipment follows the Fell Runners Association kit list plus a foil blanket or bivvy bag, at least 0.5 litre water capacity and an additional long-sleeved thermal base layer not worn at the start. Feed provision includes six staffed feed stations offering basic nutrition and drinks; several stations provide hot drinks, soup and extra food options during the race. Waterproof A3 race maps with checkpoint distances and cut offs are available for purchase at reconnaissance runs and on race day.
