Great Links Tor Flyer - Fell Race (19 Aug 2026)
The Great Links Tor Flyer is an evening fell race on Dartmoor, starting and finishing at the Fox and Hounds Hotel near Bridestow / Lydford. It forms the ninth race of the Dartmoor Fell Series and includes junior events alongside the senior race. Entry is limited to a maximum of 150 competitors.
The senior course is a short Category A fell race across open moorland with marked and unmarked sections. The route passes Gt Nodden tor, Little Links tor, Gt Links tor, Arms tor and Brat tor, then descends to stepping stones and returns via a ford to the finish field. The senior course includes significant ascent and fast descents and will be partially marked; all junior courses are marked and marshaled. The event holds an FRA licence and has support from North Dartmoor Search and Rescue.
Organisers advise runners to carry a whistle, hat, headtorch and a light rainproof top. Toilet facilities are available and refreshments will be offered in the pub after the event. Prizes are awarded for senior finishers, age groups and veteran categories, with presentations taking place after the races.
