About the race
The North Face Großglockner Ultra-Trail takes place in the Zell am See-Kaprun region from 22 to 25 July 2027. The event includes up to five trailrunning races that circle and approach Austria’s highest mountain, the Großglockner, and run through the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern.
Routes range from short alpine trails to the complete loop around the Großglockner. The longest race covers 110 km with 6,500 hm and awards 5 ITRA points. Courses move predominantly above 2,000 m and include high passes above 2,500 m. The terrain passes through seven valleys, past 14 glaciers and alongside about 300 peaks above 3,000 m. Technical mountain running skills and prior experience in high-alpine terrain are required.

- 110 km, 6,500 hm : Großglockner Ultra-Trail (GGUT), 5 ITRA points
- 84 km, 5,000 hm : Osttirol Trail (OTT), 4 ITRA points
- 57 km, 3,500 hm : Großglockner Trail (GGT), 3 ITRA points
- 37 km, 1,500 hm : Weißsee Gletscherwelt Trail (GWT), 2 ITRA points
- 16 km, 1,000 hm : Kaprun Scenic Trail (KST), 1 ITRA point
Children’s races are also offered with short courses for different age groups.
