Grit & Grind Trail Race: Camp Fortune Edition
The Grit & Grind Trail Race at Camp Fortune in Gatineau Park is a multi-distance trail event held on Sunday September 6, 2026. Courses run on marked singletrack and park trails with climbs, technical descents, runnable sections, and viewpoints.

- 20K (new for 2026)
- 10K
- 5K
- 2K Kids (ages 7–12)
The 20K is a two-loop course featuring sustained climbs, flowing singletrack, and technical descents. As of 2026 the 20K is an UTMB Index race. The 20K prize purse for both men and women awards 1st $3,000, 2nd $2,000, 3rd $1,000, 4th $750, 5th $500, and 6th $250.
Included with registration are a commemorative medal unless selecting the Green Bib option, a personalized race bib if registered before August 27, professional chip timing, and post-race snacks and beverages. Optional items include a technical shirt and an iTab ribbon hanger. A shuttle bus to and from Camp Fortune is available as a $5 add-on with pickup and drop-off at Tunney’s Pasture.
The Green Bib option omits the medal and directs a portion of the fee to Sauvetage Bénévole Outaouais Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue, a volunteer search and rescue charity established in 1996. Routes are subject to change. For safety, headphones and earbuds are not permitted on course. The event is not suitable for strollers or mobility devices.
