BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run - overview
The BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run is a combined road and trail event in Wakefield, Quebec, presented in collaboration with the Wakefield sector of La Pêche and BougeBouge. Routes include a crossing of the Wakefield covered bridge and sections through Gatineau Park.
Distances offered
- 3 km road, crosses the covered bridge.
- 5 km road, runs along the Gatineau River.
- 10 km road, about one third paved and two thirds gravel.
- 10 km trail, varied terrain with hills, flat sections, forests and plains.
- 21.1 km trail, varied terrain to Philippe Lake, limited to 250 participants and for ages 10 and up; no dogs allowed on this trail.
Practical information Events are timed by SPORTSTATS.CA and a clock will be visible at the finish. There are five water stations on the courses. Indoor washrooms are available at Centre Vorlage; there are no toilets on the road or trails. Overnight paid parking and on-site camping are offered without hookups or services. An unsupervised locker is available inside the main building.
Registration and race items A personalized bib requires registration at least 10 days before the event. Personalized medals must be purchased online with registration; all finishers receive a standard BougeBouge medal. Race tickets are non-refundable except if BougeBouge cancels the event.
