About the race
The BougeBouge Wakefield Covered Bridge Run is a combined road and trail event held in Wakefield, Quebec, with routes that cross the Wakefield covered bridge and pass through parts of Gatineau Park. The event offers multiple distances and a mix of surfaces and terrain.

Course notes: the 10 km road course is roughly one third paved and two thirds gravel and follows the Gatineau River for much of the distance. The 10 km trail and the 21.1 km trail include hills, flat sections, forests and plains and begin with a short ascent on a Vorlage ski trail. The 21.1 km trail is limited to 250 participants, requires runners to be at least 10 years old, and does not allow dogs.
Event services and logistics include timed results managed by SPORTSTATS, a finish clock, five water stations on the courses, indoor washrooms at the Vorlage Centre, and an unsupervised locker inside the main building. Overnight paid parking and on site camping are available at Centre Vorlage; facilities do not include hookups or full services. A food service element includes a Thanksgiving style buffet and a food truck at the site.
