Greenway Trick 'R Trot - October 24, 2026
Greenway Trick 'R Trot is a Halloween themed trail event presented by Combat Racing. For 2026 the event location is moved to the Shangri La Trailhead and Campground at 12788 SW 69th Ct, Ocala, FL 34473 due to construction at the usual trailhead.
The event program includes the following distances and divisions:
- 5K Run
- 5K Ruck
- 10K Run
- 10K Ruck
- 5K and 10K Challenge Run
- 5K and 10K Challenge Ruck
A rucking division is provided with specific equipment and weight requirements. Minimum dry weights are 20 pounds for women, 20 pounds for men under 150 pounds, and 30 pounds for men 150 pounds and over; dry weight excludes food, water, and worn gear and will be verified at check-in. Packs must be backpacks or rucks worn on the back; vests and hand carrying are not permitted. The ruck must remain with the participant throughout the race and outside assistance or weight sharing is not allowed.
Headlamps are required for the 10K and the double distance challenge. Costumes are encouraged. All participants receive finisher medals and top awards are given for each event. Portions of the course use the Florida Trail and organizers note a suggested donation of $25 to the Florida Trail Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
