Green Valley Lake 5K / 10K / Half Marathon
This event takes place on Saturday, August 7, 2027, at Green Valley Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains. Courses run on a mix of paved road, dirt roads, and single-track trail through pine forest and rocky vistas.
The course begins with a 3/4-mile out-and-back along the lake, then climbs Green Valley Lake Road onto a forest service road. The 5K turnaround reaches an overlook after about 400 ft of elevation gain. The 10K and half marathon continue on Forest Service Road 2N13 with rolling terrain. The route includes about 1.5 miles of pavement before transitioning to dirt and trail. Water and aid stations are located approximately every 1.5 miles.

Packet pickup is available Friday, August 6 at Black Dog Social Club and race morning at the race site. Post-race activities are at the Downtown Community Garden on the main lake area, with food for purchase and live music. Awards include top three overall per distance and age group medals three deep in five-year spans up to 80 plus. Chip timing is provided.
The event donates proceeds to a local national forest children’s forest and supports community organizations that assist with the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
