Green Eyes Gallop
Green Eyes Gallop is a community running event in Chickamauga, GA, held as part of the Green Eyes Festival. The event offers multiple race distances and a family-friendly festival atmosphere.
The courses run through and around downtown Chickamauga and include the Chickamauga Wetlands Trail. The Monster Mile route goes from downtown, loops around Helicopter Park, and returns to downtown. Course maps are available on the organizer website.
A costume contest runs alongside the races with divisions for individual, partner, group, and a 12 and under category. Judges evaluate originality, authenticity, theme, and craftsmanship. Participants must be registered and run or walk the race in their costume to be eligible for prizes. Groups and pairs must present themselves together for judging and use a team name and team captain for adjudication. Race numbers must be visible to qualify for contest prizes.
All participants receive a Green Eyes swag bag. Podium prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in the 5K and 10K. One free children's Monster Mile entry is offered with purchase of a 5K or 10K race entry; a code is provided after registration. A $5 discount is offered to GUTS members using the 2026 discount code.
