Gravel Worlds Run Series
Gravel Worlds Run Series is a set of gravel road running events in Lincoln, Nebraska held on Sunday August 29, 2027. The series is hosted by Lauf Gravel Worlds and presented by Goodlife Brands. Routes are almost entirely on gravel and dirt roads and include sustained rolling hills with repeated up and down grades averaging about 4 to 5 percent.
The event offers multiple distances with listed approximate elevations:
- 50k (~31 miles) : 2,000 ft elevation
- Half marathon (~13.1 miles) : 850 ft elevation
- 10k (~6 miles) : 400 ft elevation
- 5k (~3 miles) : 100 ft elevation
The run series is self-supported. Runners may not accept outside support on course beyond what the race provides. Water and basic nutrition are supplied at aid stations and checkpoints, but participants are expected to carry any specific nutrition or gear they require. Aid stations are placed roughly every 8 to 10 km on the front half and every 5 to 7 km on the second half, with a fully stocked checkpoint just after the halfway point. Courses will be marked and GPS files plus downloadable cue cards will be provided.
The 50k distance has an overall time cut-off of 8.5 hours. The series also includes relay and double championship formats combining running and biking over multiple days. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
