Grafham Water Trail Races
Grafham Water Trail Races stage fully marked and marshalled trail events from Marlow Park, Grafham, on routes around Grafham Water and nearby countryside. Two distances are offered with downloadable GPX files for navigation.
- 10k
- Half Marathon
Entries are open with published entry fees and a closing window for entries and transfers seven days before the event. Minimum ages on race day are 16 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon. Both races share a four hour cut off time. Running with dogs is not permitted because routes use footpaths across farmland.
Course wayfinding uses arrow signs and the routes use sections of the Three Shires Way bridleway. The half marathon includes a large lap of the reservoir while the 10k returns on the outward bound track. Professional first aid will be available at race headquarters and with access to the course. Hydration is provided by volunteers at three water stations on the half marathon and one water station on the 10k, with water also available at the finish. No in ear headphones are permitted; bone conduction headphones that do not sit in the ears are allowed.
Mandatory kit includes a fully charged mobile phone and a personal cup as the event is cupless. Trail shoes or shoes with additional grip are advised. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and all finishers receive a commemorative race medal.
