Gear Western Country Half Marathon and Borton Volvo 5k
The Gear Western Country Half Marathon and Borton Volvo 5k is a community running event held in Long Lake, Minnesota. The course runs from Gear West Ski and Bike at 1786 W. Wayzata Blvd and uses quiet country roads, rolling hills, lakeside scenery, and crushed limestone trails.

Packet pickup and late registration are available on the Friday before the event and on the day of the event. After the races there are western themed post-race refreshments and a post-race gathering where organizers and volunteers cheer finishers.
Awards are presented for the top three overall finishers in each race and for age groups in five year increments, with explicit categories noted for 19 and under and 70 and over. Additional special awards include a Spirit Award for best western outfit with a bonus for those who run in cowboy boots, and a Red Lantern Award.
