Gate2Gate Trail Run
The Gate2Gate Trail Run is a trail running event held in the San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park near Alachua, FL. The course uses northern single-track mountain bike trails, open fields, and rolling hills, then moves into double-track hiking and birding trails in the southern portion of the park before returning to the north via a lesser known connector trail near the CSO area. Runners complete the circuit once for the shorter distance and twice for the longer distance. The course is open for eight hours.
Distances:
- 25K
- 50K
Aid stations are located at specific mile markers on each loop and will offer water, electrolyte drink (Powerade), basic ultra foods such as PB&J sandwiches, and a selection of sweets and salty snacks. Gels, S-Caps, and medications like ibuprofen will not be provided. Cups will not be provided at aid stations; participants must carry their own bottles, hydration vests, or cups. Single-serving gel packs are discouraged to reduce trail litter.
The event includes a TailGate2Gate celebration zone. It is organized as a benefit race, with all net profits donated to the Friends of San Felasco community support organization. Every finisher receives a custom medal and a custom glass; 50K finishers also receive a custom trucker hat. Registration closes on Tue, Oct 20 at 11:59PM ET.
