Gardiner Dump Run
The Gardiner Dump Run is a trail running event at Gardiner’s Riverbend Trails in Gardiner, NY. The course uses single-track trails through wooded hillsides near the Wallkill River and across open, untamed fields. The event offers two race distances.
- 5K single lap on the trail
- 10K two laps of the 5K course
The event is hosted by the Gardiner Parks and Recreation Committee in collaboration with the Gardiner Trail Alliance. A kids fun run and breakfast sandwiches for purchase are part of the race morning activities. There is a sneaker recycling program: participants receive a coupon for each pair of athletic sneakers donated.
Registration details vary by distance; registration opens in late October 2026 and closes in September 2027. Entry fees listed for the events are $35 for the 5K and $40 for the 10K. Only participants pre-registered by September 8 will receive a unique T-shirt. Day-of registration is allowed and accepts cash or check only. Volunteers assist with parking on race day. Race packet pickup occurs on race morning, and there is a mandatory runners meeting at the starting line prior to the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
