FXBG Trail 8 Miler

The FXBG Trail 8 Miler takes place at Motts Run Reservoir in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This event serves as the fourth race in the FXBG Trail Series. The course consists of an 8 mile trail race that utilizes a network of singletrack paths.

The route is characterized by constant twists and turns through forested areas, requiring runners to maintain focus throughout the distance. The terrain features rolling hills consisting of short ascents and descents that impact pacing and leg strength. One specific section of the course includes a steady, sustained climb that serves as the primary elevation challenge of the day.

Participants navigate a layout that alternates between flowing tree-lined sections and punchy rises and sweeping descents. The event is supported by the Fredericksburg Area Running Club. Top finishers in the men's and women's categories receive gift certificates from a local outfitter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
