Franciscan Rhythms Trail Run
The Franciscan Rhythms Trail Run takes place October 3, 2026, at the Franciscan Life Process Center in Lowell, 11650 Downes St. NE. The event includes a community 5K run, a 5K walk, and a 1K kids fun run along a campus trail.

The trail is mostly unpaved and winds through deciduous woodland, pine forest and a restored prairie planted with native species. Live music stations featuring Irish, rock and folk music are placed along the route. Participants and visitors have reported sightings of birds, insects, woodland animals and a beaver on the property.
Awards include medals for the overall first, second and third place male and female finishers. After the event, water, snacks and homemade cinnamon rolls will be available.
Registration fees noted for the event are $35 for the 5K run and walk and $15 for the kids run, with a higher fee listed for same-day on-site registration. A virtual option is available. Register by September 16, 2026 to guarantee a race t-shirt.
