Foy's to Blacktail Trail Marathon
This is a point to point mountain marathon on the Foy's to Blacktail Trail system in Kalispell, Montana, held on June 20, 2027. The race covers 26.2 Miles and highlights newly built sections of the FTBT trail network. This edition is the ninth running of the event.
Registration opens January 1, 2027 at 10:00 and closes March 8, 2027 at 01:59. The entry fee is $100.00 and registration is limited to a maximum of 100 participants.
Race logistics include gathering at Herron Park and bus transport to the start; there is no parking at the race start. There is a strict 12 pm cut off to reach the Emmons Saddle aid station; past slowest finishers have met this cut off, and participants would need to maintain an average pace greater than 3 mph to reach the aid station in time.
All entrants are eligible for a random giveaway of event swag, which has included items such as a pair of running shoes. Participants are required to carry bear spray because of the real risk of encountering wildlife such as bears or mountain lions on the course.
The marathon is part of the FTBT event series and is among the races used to raise funds for building and maintaining the more than 40 mile FTBT trail system, including new trails on Emmons Ridge toward Blacktail Mountain. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
