The Fourth of July Stampede in Wooster
The Fourth of July Stampede is a trail running event at Wooster Memorial Park, held on July 4, 2027 at the Education Area Parking Lot, 5197 Silver Rd, Wooster, OH 44691. The event offers two distances and includes trail features, community support, and awards.
Distances
- 5K trail with technical singletrack, creek crossings and climbs
- 1 Mile run through the woods and around the field
Registration opens May 19, 2027 and closes July 3, 2027. Entry fees are listed as $35.00 for the 5K and $30.00 for the 1 Mile. A portion of each entry fee will be returned to The Friends Wooster Memorial Park.
Packet pickup is available July 3 at The Aid Station Running Supply (131 N Market St, Wooster, OH 44691) during store hours, with additional packet pickup on race day at Wooster Memorial Park. The first 50 registrants receive a pair of Swiftwick Vision "Long Roads Ahead" socks, with sizes provided on a first-come, first-serve basis at packet pickup.
Awards include a custom Stampede hat or an Aid Station cap for all finishers, and gift cards from The Aid Station Running Supply for 1st through 3rd place male and female finishers in the 5K.
