FOTO Thornbridge Outdoors 20
The FOTO Thornbridge Outdoors 20 is a 20.3 mile walk/run across the Peak District with approximately 850 m of total ascent. The route starts and finishes at Thornbridge Outdoors and passes notable local features and settlements including Little Longstone, Longstone Edge, Eyam, Froggatt Edge, Curbar Edge, Baslow Edge, Baslow and Chatsworth. Much of the course will be signposted and final route details and equipment requirements are provided to entrants before the event.
Entry is charged at £29.00. Entries open on 21 July 2026 and close on 1 October 2026. Runners must be at least 18 years old. Walkers are expected to follow the event age guidance; under-18s may take part only when accompanied by an over-18. Race categories for prize awards include Under 23, Senior/Open (24-39), V40, V50, V60 and Over 70; prizes are only awarded to participants who follow the route and carry the required equipment.
On-course provisions include water at White Rake and food and water at Eyam and Baslow checkpoints. Event parking is normally provided in a field at Thornbridge Outdoors unless ground conditions prevent it. Camping, bell tents and self-catering lodge rooms will be made available to book. The finish area features refreshments including a Thornbridge Brewery beer. The organising group, Friends of Thornbridge Outdoors, uses event income to support outdoor learning opportunities for young people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
