Forever Young Run - Richmond

The Forever Young 8K and 5K Fun Run are annual events presented by the Forever Young Club, intended for participants aged 55 and over. The event promotes active senior living and is presented as the twelfth annual edition by the organizer.

The course starts at the Richmond Olympic Oval and follows flat, compact gravel along the North Dyke beside the middle arm of the Fraser River. Participants may explore the Richmond Olympic Oval after the walk or run.

Timing is provided by Startline Timing with chips attached to bibs. First aid personnel are located at the start/finish area and at two other locations on the course. Radio equipped staff will be roving on bicycles, and a phone equipped volunteer is positioned at every kilometre post and water station. Water and first aid stations are noted at McCallan Rd and Barnard Drive. Volunteers provide encouragement at each kilometre marker.

Packet pickup requires a printed registration confirmation or a photo ID; further pickup details will be announced. Included perks are a technical T‑shirt, snacks and coffee, and chip timing. A post run social with music, food and beverages is scheduled.
