Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon

The Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon takes place in the Forest of Dean on Sunday 21 March 2027. The event is organised by The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean with support from the Forestry Commission and local organisations. Proceeds are used to support charities and the event is associated with Read for Good.

The officially measured half marathon is 13 miles 192.5 yards and follows a clockwise loop of well maintained forest trails starting and finishing at Speech House. The multi terrain route includes short road sections, gentle inclines, way marking with yellow paint, mile markers, and full marshaling. Lead cyclists will guide the field and roads will be closed at designated crossings. There are three water stations spaced at approximately 5 km intervals and drinks are available at the finish.

The event has been selected as the British Trail Running Association Short Distance championship and as an England Athletics Age Group Masters qualifier; TRA medals are awarded to top finishers and entrants wishing to qualify for England Athletics must register their intention in advance via the required entry system. Race timing combines gun timing for results with chip timing for individual performance. Medical cover and radio communications are provided and photographic coverage is organised for published race photos. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
