About the race
The Follow the Flag 5K Trail Race is a 5-kilometer trail running event held July 10, 2027, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. The course follows a three-part profile: the first mile is relatively flat, the second mile climbs uphill, and the final mile descends along Grove Creek to a finish under the event’s large American flag. The event is organized by the Follow the Flag Foundation. Since 2014 the foundation has supported funerals for fallen members of the military and first responder community.
All race entry fees go to the foundation’s general purpose fund to support missions such as placing flags in canyons, decorating neighborhoods when a fallen service member returns, repairing vehicles for affected families, and maintaining replacement flags. Online registration is available and will close on July 9, 2027. The event lists an entry price of USD 8.87 and indicates participants receive a finisher medal at the finish line beneath the large flag.
