About the race
The Electrolit 5K Foam Fest at Laketown Ranch Music & Recreation Park on Vancouver Island, British Columbia is a timed event over a 5K course with foam, water and mud features. The course includes 25 obstacles and multiple foam zones, with obstacle examples such as a large inflatable waterslide, slip and slides, a Chamber of Foam, cargo climb, tire hop, log roll and various mud features.
Event amenities listed for participants include a string bag, a 5K Foam Buff, a finishers medal, a festival wristband, temporary tattoos and a free low-resolution finish photo. On-site services and festival features include water stations, a rinse station, a live DJ, food vendors, a licensed beer garden, a merch tent, a kids free fun zone and shaded areas. Gear check is available for a $5 donation.
Spectators are free. The event states it uses about 2.5 million cubic feet of foam. The title partner is Electrolit and the event supports Make‑A‑Wish Canada.
An optional overnight camping opportunity at Laketown Ranch is offered for registered participants on the night before the event. Camping details list a $75 per site fee for up to four adults or two adults with three children under 12, a 20 by 34 foot site suitable for RVs or tents, parking charged at $20 per vehicle, limits on pets and glass, a maximum of eight people per site with extra camper wristbands, quiet time at midnight and checkout at 5pm on May 29.
